The reigning king from last year keeps it throne as my favorite game of all time. A Link to the Past was really a game that for whatever reason I could not put down and would start over from scratch over and over again. I don't know why, it was just fun to keep retrying it from the beginning after I'd almost beat it. To me, this is what a Zelda game should be and it's almost tainted how and what I think about Zelda games made today. They never really seem to live up to the feeling I had while playing this game or the thrill it was to explore the kingdom of Hyrule for the first time.
