Wow, an EA NHL hockey game on my list, whaddya know? Don't go all hating on me yet, this is when EA was king and made the best hockey games out there. NHL 98 for the PC blew my mind when I first installed this bad boy back in the fall of 97. It was also the first game where I discovered the world of add-ons and basically began my career as a 3D artist. I would make add-ons for the Red Wings non stop and even made the new Blues and Kings uni's in the summer of 98 which was the #1 download on a certain NHL 98 add-on site. The first full 3D hockey game on the PC, and using the new 3Dfx Voodoo2 technology, this game looked incredible and had amazing play by play. Not to mention, it had, and still has, the COOLEST intro video for ANY hockey game EVER made. The feeling I had playing this game and anticpating getting home from school every day just to play this, I want that feeling again. Hockey games now a days don't give us that enjoyment because we all know so much more can be done. The day I get that enjoyment out of a hockey game again, is the day it surpasses NHL 98.
