40. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2)

Ohhh boy, here we go. Love it or hate it, MGS2 was a pretty bad ass game with incredible graphics and sound. If the game would've been more like the first part on the ship, then this game probably would've been MUCH higher on my list, but alas, you're stuck playing as Raiden for 75% of the game and the story just gets too whacked out. The art direction on the MGS games has always been top notch and this is no exception. Although the tanker mission is my favorite, the rest of the game is no slouch in the graphics or design department. And hey, even if you don't like the game, the opening cinema and the one where you find Metal Gear Ray for the first time are worth it alone.
